“Larus Fuscus”


This bird is the largest member of the gull family 





They are between 68 and 78cm long.

They have a wingspan of 150 to 165cm 

They weigh in at around 1 to 2kg.

 They have pink legs.

There are 17,000 breeding pairs in the uk.

They live for around 14 years.

They eat shellfish birds and carrion.






The larger Great Black Backed Gull has grey legs.
