The Trumpeter Swan is a very large all white bird with a long neck and a black bill and black legs.

They are between 138 and 158cm in length

 They have

 a wingspan of 202cm.

 They weigh in between 7700 and 12,700g







They eat aquatic vegetation and will eat grains and crops.

They need at least 100 metres of open water for them to take off.  They lay 4 to 6 eggs incubated for 32 to 37 days 







They make a trumpet sound when alarmed hence their name. They live for up to 26 years.
